Russia continues to carry out special military operations to achieve its stated objectives.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on March 7 that Russia sees no preconditions for a shift to a peace process in Ukraine, and therefore will achieve its objectives by continuing its special military operation.
"There are no prerequisites for moving to a peace path in this situation. Therefore, Russia will carry out its tasks and objectives by continuing its special military operation," Dmitry Peskov said when asked whether China's peace proposals could change the situation.

Furthermore, Peskov stated that China, as a major power, "cannot remain silent on important issues on the global agenda." "We pay close attention to the proposals put forward by our partners in Beijing," the Kremlin spokesperson affirmed.
When asked how important this issue would be at the upcoming talks between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping, Peskov said that the two countries maintain contact at various levels and the two leaders "have had credible dialogues."
