Russia reveals when hypersonic weapons will appear

Sputnik news agency on January 20 quoted Russian Deputy Defense Minister Yuri Borisov as saying: "Access to hypersonic weapons requires the use of fundamentally new advanced materials and control management systems in a completely different environment."

According to Deputy Minister Borisov, the Russian army is currently standing on the verge of the next technological revolution, replacing it with fundamentally different weapons systems based on new physical principles.

“It will involve completely different principles of command and control, because today whoever learns to detect the enemy, give precise orders and destroy targets, all of which must be executed in real-time mode — in fact, he is the winner,” Borisov said.

The Deputy Minister of Defense commented that the nature of armed conflicts shows that the time from the decision to the final result has narrowed significantly.

“If before it was hours and sometimes days, now it is only a few minutes and soon it will be reduced to just seconds,” Deputy Minister Borisov said.
