Russia reveals the timeframe for the appearance of hypersonic weapons.

Deputy Defense Minister Yuri Borisov affirmed that Russia will soon possess hypersonic weapons, which will come with new principles for commanding and managing troops.

Sputnik reported on January 20th, quoting Russian Deputy Defense Minister Yuri Borisov: "Approaching hypersonic weapons requires the use of fundamentally new and advanced materials and a control and management system in a completely different environment."

According to Deputy Minister Borisov, the Russian military is currently on the verge of the next technological revolution, replacing its old weapons systems with fundamentally different ones based on new physical principles.

"We will be approaching completely different principles of command and control, because today whoever learns how to detect the enemy, issue precise orders and destroy targets, all of which must be executed in real time — is, in fact, the winner," Borisov said.

The Deputy Minister of Defense noted that the nature of armed conflicts shows that the time between decision-making and final outcome has narrowed significantly.

"If previously it was measured in hours and sometimes days, now it's all measured in minutes, and soon it will be reduced even further to just seconds," Deputy Minister Borisov stated.
