A Russian missile unit equipped with the Oreshnik mobile ground-based missile system has officially entered combat readiness on Belarusian territory. This is a significant deployment aimed at strengthening defense capabilities and strategic deterrence in accordance with military agreements between Moscow and Minsk.

Handover ceremony and preparations
According to a statement from the Russian Ministry of Defense, a solemn ceremony was held to mark the unit's commissioning into active duty. During the handover ceremony, the flag of the Russian Strategic Missile Forces was raised, confirming the official presence of this force in its new deployment area.
To ensure the operation of advanced weapon systems, the personnel, including launch crews, communications forces, security units, and technicians, had to undergo rigorous additional training courses. The training process made extensive use of modern training and simulation systems, helping soldiers master technical operations before undertaking field missions.
Combat capabilities and technical infrastructure
Deputy Minister of Defense of the Republic of Belarus Pavel Muraveyko emphasized that the strength of the Oreshnik mobile missile system lies in its extremely rapid response speed. This system is capable of switching to combat readiness within minutes of receiving a command.
Currently, the unit's personnel have begun deploying to new combat patrol routes and areas. These areas were pre-determined by relevant authorities within Belarusian territory. In addition, the necessary infrastructure for combat missions and accommodation for Russian servicemen has been completed, ensuring the highest level of readiness for the operational force.
