Commenting on the upcoming meeting, Russia's Permanent Representative to NATO, Alexander Grushko, noted that "the working rhythm of the Council is gradually being restored." According to the Russian diplomat, "discussions are getting back on track."

Meanwhile, as provided by the coalition, after three meetings in 2016, this year's agenda remains unchanged: the main topics will be the situation in and around Ukraine, security in Afghanistan and the region, and transparency in the military activities of both sides.
