Authorities prevented dozens of young people from gathering to cheer on illegal street racing.

At approximately 0:10 AM on July 13th, the Road Traffic Police Department of Can Tho City Police received a report that a group of young people were gathering to race and cheer on illegal street racing at kilometer 35 of National Highway 91 (Thuan Hung Ward, Thot Not District).
The following day, traffic police, in coordination with riot police and Thot Not district police, devised a plan to intercept and apprehend the group of young men.

Sixty-one young people (including one woman) were summoned to the police station for questioning. Most of them reside in districts and counties within Can Tho city, while some others come from An Giang and Dong Thap provinces.
The police have temporarily seized 56 high-powered motorcycles, many of which had been modified, altered in structure, and had their engines bored out for racing purposes.
