The transportation sector pays tribute to the heroic martyrs.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of July 25th, officials from the Nghe An Department of Transport from various periods offered incense at the Le Dynasty Canal Memorial, the Road 7 Martyrs' Cemetery, and the Truong Bon National Historical Site.

During the wars of national liberation, 458 heroes and martyrs from the Nghe An Transport sector fell to protect the uninterrupted flow of traffic. The sacrifices of these heroes and martyrs from the transport sector have contributed to writing a glorious chapter in the history of the Vietnamese nation and the transport sector.

The delegation visited the Le Dynasty Canal Memorial (in Nghi Yen commune, Nghi Loc district) to offer incense and flowers in remembrance of the great contributions of King Le and the heroic martyrs who sacrificed their lives fighting against foreign invaders, and to express gratitude to the officials and workers of the transportation sector who sacrificed their lives on the Le Dynasty Canal waterway during the resistance war against the US to save the country.

Next, the delegation visited and offered incense at the Martyrs' Cemetery on Highway 7 – Truông Kè, Mỹ Thành commune, Yên Thành district, to recall the glorious traditions of the nation and commemorate the heroic martyrs and Youth Volunteers who bravely sacrificed their lives to protect the smooth flow of traffic on the road during the war against the US.

Meanwhile, at the Truông Bồn National Historical Site (Đô Lương district) – a place that has become a "legend" in our nation's great struggle for national defense in the 20th century – the members of the delegation respectfully offered incense to commemorate those who dedicated their youth to the struggle for the liberation of the South and the reunification of the country.

For the transportation sector, each of these locations is associated with the sacrifices of youth, sweat, and blood of generations who dedicated themselves to protecting the nation and ensuring the smooth flow of transportation "lifelines" throughout the two wars of resistance.

Before the sacred spirits of the heroic martyrs, the officials, workers, and employees of the Nghe An transportation sector expressed their profound respect, admiration, and gratitude, forever remembering the contributions and sacrifices of the heroes and martyrs. The dedication and sacrifice of the heroic martyrs will forever be a shining example for present and future generations to learn from and emulate.

Continuing the tradition of the transportation sector, officials, civil servants, and workers will unite and strive to overcome all difficulties and challenges, excellently fulfilling all tasks, further developing the transportation network, and contributing to the overall socio-economic development of the province and the country.
