The country is entering a new era, digital transformation is spreading strongly and the requirements for transparency and efficiency are increasing, Nghe An Tax Department has affirmed its pioneering role in advising the Party Committee and government and boldly implementing breakthrough solutions in tax management. Outstanding achievements of the 2020-2025 term have created a solid foundation for the new term 2025-2030.
The 2020 - 2025 term is a difficult period, especially the years heavily affected by the Covid-19 pandemic and global economic fluctuations, which greatly affect the implementation of budget collection tasks according to the Resolution of the 19th Nghe An Provincial Party Congress, term 2020 - 2025.
However, under the strong direction of the Ministry of Finance, the General Department of Taxation (now the Tax Department), the Provincial Party Committee, the People's Council, and the Provincial People's Committee; the consensus and support of the people and businesses, along with the solidarity, unanimity, and determination of the collective of civil servants and employees, the Tax sector of Nghe An province has excellently completed the tasks set out in the Resolution of the 19th Nghe An Provincial Party Congress, term 2020 - 2025, making important contributions to resources for socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security in the province.
Total budget revenue in the 2020-2025 period will grow by an average of 13-14% per year. In 2022, for the first time, Nghe An will achieve domestic revenue of over VND 20,000 billion, rising to the group of 14 provinces and cities with the highest revenue in the country. In particular, the budget revenue structure is increasingly sustainable, the proportion of revenue from domestic enterprises is increasing, clearly demonstrating the development of the business community and the accompanying and supporting role of the Tax sector.
Nghe An Province Tax Department has pioneered the application of information technology in tax management: 100% of enterprises use electronic invoices. 100% of transactions from tax declaration, tax payment to tax refund are carried out electronically.
Modern applications such as eTax Mobile, electronic invoices generated from cash registers, lucky invoices... continue to be promoted, contributing to building a transparent, modern digital tax ecosystem, saving time and costs for people and businesses. Many innovative initiatives on administrative procedure reform have been implemented, contributing to making Nghe An one of the leading localities in the country in improving the business environment in the tax sector.
With the motto "Taxpayers are the center of service", Nghe An Tax Department has realized this through many specific activities: Periodic dialogue with businesses, consulting, timely solving problems, 24/7 online support... thereby, the Tax Department is not only a management agency but also becomes a companion, proactive, responsible, sharing difficulties, promoting production and business development of the business community. The work of preventing revenue loss and tax inspection is always well performed by the industry.
The Tax sector has implemented many solutions to prevent budget revenue loss; focusing on inspection and examination work in the direction of risk management, focusing on areas with large revenue potential and high risks. Along with the development trend of digital society, Nghe An Tax sector is gradually applying artificial intelligence (AI), big data in invoice management, tax refund, debt management - towards a professional, modern and transparent electronic tax model. In the face of the strong development of e-commerce, Nghe An Tax sector has proactively reviewed thousands of business cases on digital platforms to include them in tax management, contributing to creating a fair, equal and transparent business environment.
Continuing the achievements of the previous term, the Nghe An Tax sector today is full of pride and new spirit, ready to conquer new heights on the journey of innovation, integration and development. The whole sector is determined to enter the digital transformation era, accompanying all levels of government and the business community, contributing to the strong development of the province, joining hands to build a prosperous Vietnam.
