High on drugs, man stabs drinking buddy to death and injures police officer.
The incident occurred this morning, March 5th. After stabbing his drinking buddy to death, the young man, who appeared to be under the influence of drugs, stabbed a police officer, injuring him.
The murder occurred early this morning (March 5th) in Ham Thang commune, Ham Thuan Bac district (Binh Thuan province). According to initial information, at around midnight on the same day, two young men, Vo Van Giau (21 years old) and Pham Van Son (23 years old), both from Thang Hoa village, Ham Thang commune, Ham Thuan Bac district, were drinking together and using drugs. Due to a conflict during the drinking session, Giau stabbed Son to death with a knife.

Upon receiving news of the murder, the Ham Thuan Bac District Police, in coordination with the Binh Thuan Provincial Police, arrived at the scene to handle the case. In a drug-induced frenzy after stabbing someone to death, Giau retreated into his house and barricaded himself inside.
At this point, riot police fired tear gas and tasers, then used shields to storm the house to subdue the suspect. However, the suspect used a knife to stab through a gap in the shield, injuring a police lieutenant.
After resisting for a while, the suspect was subdued by riot police officers. The injured police lieutenant was taken to Binh Thuan Provincial General Hospital for emergency treatment. Authorities are currently continuing their investigation into the incident.
