(Baonghean.vn) -While the number of tourists staying in Nghe An decreased by 14% in the first nine months compared to the same period in 2015, the number of international tourists increased slightly.

In September 2016, the rainy weather was unfavorable for tourism activities, resulting in a decrease in the number of tourists in coastal areas. Overall, tourism business performance in the province showed a downward trend compared to the previous month and the same period in 2015.

It is estimated that in September 2016, the number of tourists staying in Nghe An reached 230,000, including 5,000 international tourists.

In the first nine months of 2016, the number of tourists staying in Nghe An province was estimated at 2,723,000, equivalent to 86% of the same period in 2015. Of these, international tourists accounted for an estimated 52,000, reaching 101% of the same period in 2015. Total revenue from tourism was estimated at 3,298,000 million VND, of which tourism service revenue was estimated at 1,908,000 million VND, equivalent to 83% of the same period in 2015.
