On September 7th, Prince William and Princess Kate Middleton's eldest son started his first day of school at a private school in suburban London, CNN reported.
Appearing in his navy blue school uniform, Prince George held his father's hand as they arrived at Thomas's Battersea school. The Duchess of Cambridge, Prince George's mother, was suffering from severe morning sickness during her third pregnancy and was unable to take her son to school.
Prince William and his wife have chosen a school for their four-year-old son that the Good School Guide rates as "where urban parents can buy their children the best education with their money." The tuition fee for Thomas's Battersea day school is £17,604 ($23,000).
Prince George will be joining the freshman orientation program. At school, he will be taking ballet, painting, drama, French, music, and physical education classes.
The day the young prince started school also marked a new chapter in Prince William's family life as they moved from their residence at Anmer Hall, Norfolk, in southeastern England, to Kensington Palace in London.
