At the discussion session, many opinions focused on the staff evaluation stage. It is believed that this is an important stage, the basis and foundation for implementing the next staff work, staff evaluation needs to be multi-dimensional, continuous, and evaluated according to product and order types.
Citing practical experience in the locality, Mr. Nguyen Van Hung, Secretary of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee, agreed with this form of assessment, and at the same time requested to focus on assessing the current staff, because this will be the staff trained to become a strategic-level staff in the future.
“The province orders 5-7 tasks that the province needs to solve for the secretaries, district chairmen, and department directors. And at the end of the year, the products are evaluated. This is more substantial and clearer,” said Quang Tri Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Van Hung.
Regarding the issue of fighting for positions and power, delegates said that there should be a mechanism to monitor leaders. Leaders must be exemplary and determined not to let others run after them. In addition, the agency managing cadres needs to have people who are diligent and always uphold the responsibility of civil servants.
