Nghe An: 2,000 young people respond to Earth Hour 2017

(Baonghean.vn) - Earth Hour 2017 starts from 8:30 pm to 9:30 pm, Saturday, March 25, 2017 with the slogan "Turn off the lights, turn on the future".

On the morning of March 25, Nghe An Provincial Youth Union organized the launching ceremony to respond to Earth Hour 2017.

This is the 7th year Nghe An has participated in responding to Earth Hour with the whole country, through important activities to raise awareness, self-awareness and responsibility of organizations and individuals in saving and using energy effectively, participating in environmental protection and combating climate change.

At the ceremony, comrade Huynh Thanh Dien called on residential communities, businesses, agencies and units to turn off unnecessary electrical equipment for 1 hour or more. Each small action will bring great significance in contributing to changing public awareness about environmental protection, preserving the country's resources not only for the present but also for future generations.

On the launching day, youth union members organized a bicycle parade through the main streets of Vinh city, with the aim of raising public awareness in responding to Earth Hour.
