Nghe An: 31 communes reduce nearly 100 billion in outstanding rural debt
(Baonghean.vn) - Although Nghe An is a province with a high debt of construction investment projects under the New Rural Development Program, many communes in Nghe An have significantly reduced their debt and have been submitted to the Prime Minister for consideration and reward.
According to the report of the Provincial New Rural Area Coordination Office, Thai Hoa Town and many communes in Nghe An province have actively sought solutions to reduce outstanding debts in the New Rural Area program, which is commendable.

Specifically: Thai Hoa town still owed 8.63 billion VND as of January 31, 2016, but by January 31, 2017, it had reduced by 7.94 billion VND, only owing 690 million VND. In which, communes such as Nghia Tien, Dong Hieu, Nghia My, Tay Hieu have paid off all outstanding NTM debt. Nghia Tien commune owed 2.16 billion VND but has now paid it all.
In Yen Thanh district, Long Thanh commune owed 4.67 billion as of January 31, 2016, but has now paid off 4.3 billion, leaving only 359 million in debt; Phuc Thanh commune owed 3.037 billion, now only 551 million in debt.
Or like Nghia Dong commune (Tan Ky) owed 4.99 billion VND but paid 4.32 billion, remaining 650 million VND, Thai Son commune (Do Luong) owed 4.9 billion VND but now only has 513 million VND, Quynh Doi commune (Quynh Luu) owed 4.11 billion VND but now only has 401 million VND...

Nghe An has 1 town and 31 communes. In 2016, the debt was 107.8 billion VND, but has now reduced by 98.6 billion VND.
In the national movement to build new rural areas in 2016, 51 district-level units, 359 communes and 27 individuals with outstanding achievements were proposed by the Coordination Committee to be commended by the Prime Minister./.
