(Baonghean.vn) - According to compiled data from the Traffic Police Department (Nghe An Provincial Police), from January 1st to 31st, 2023, the traffic police force conducted 2,250 patrol and control operations, with 10,504 officers participating. Accordingly, 3,649 violations were recorded, including 449 cases involving passenger vehicles.

Specifically, the violations included: 45 cases of speeding;alcohol concentration2 cases; 107 cases of illegal stopping, parking, and picking up/dropping off passengers; 27 cases of carrying too many passengers; and 268 other violations (including carrying goods in the passenger compartment, employees not wearing name tags, operating off-route or off-schedule...).

According to the head of the Traffic Police Department (Nghe An Provincial Police), with the goal of reducing traffic accidents in general, and accidents involving passenger buses in particular, along with requiring bus companies to sign commitments to strictly comply with legal regulations, the force will strengthen patrols and strictly handle cases of violations.

Especially now, after the Lunar New Year holiday, when people return to work, go on pilgrimages, and go sightseeing, the demand for passenger bus travel increases significantly. Therefore, the Department has directed its teams and stations, in coordination with local police, to continue inspecting and strictly handling violations related to passenger buses such as carrying more passengers than permitted and speeding violations.
