(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of July 21st, a forest fire broke out on Dragon Mountain in the area of ​​Quynh Nghia and Tien Thuy communes, burning down approximately 5 hectares of protective pine forest.

At approximately 1:30 PM, a fire broke out on Dragon Mountain in the Manh Ram hamlet of Tien Thuy commune.

Authorities extinguished a pine forest fire.

Upon receiving the report, at nearly 2 PM, functional forces including the Fire Prevention and Control Police team of Nghe An province, the Quynh Luu Protective Forest Management Board, the Cau Giat town forest ranger unit, the Quynh Luu district police, along with the local government and people of Quynh Nghia and Quynh Tien communes, arrived at the scene to extinguish the fire.

Authorities and local residents participated in extinguishing a forest fire that occurred in the two communes of Quynh Nghia and Tien Thuy (Quynh Luu district).

Because the fire originated on a mountaintop, the weather was dry and windy, and the area consisted of easily flammable pine and eucalyptus forests, making firefighting difficult. However, the authorities, in coordination with local residents, were able to contain the fire in time.

By 3:25 PM, the fire was largely extinguished, but nearly 5 hectares of pine forest had been destroyed.
