Nghe An: 7 prisoners granted conditional early release.
On May 14th, the Nghe An Provincial Police Detention Center held a ceremony to announce and present conditional early release decisions to 7 inmates serving sentences at the facility, in accordance with the decision of the Nghe An Provincial People's Court, in the first batch of 2026.
The policy of conditional early release from prison reflects the humanity and leniency of the Party and the State towards those who show remorse, actively work and study, and are determined to correct their mistakes in order to reintegrate into the community and become useful citizens.
According to the Nghe An Provincial Police Detention Center, the 7 inmates granted early release in this batch all meet the conditions stipulated by law, such as strictly adhering to the detention facility's regulations, showing progress in their rehabilitation, being rated as having good or excellent rehabilitation; having served at least half of their sentence; fulfilling civil obligations and court fees; and having a clear place of residence that will not affect local security and order after their return.
At the ceremony, the leaders of the Nghe An Provincial Police Detention Center presented conditional early release decisions to the inmates, and advised each of them to continue to strictly abide by the law, work hard, stabilize their lives, and stay away from social vices to avoid recidivism after returning to their localities.
Speaking at the ceremony, Lieutenant Colonel Tran Quoc Khanh, Deputy Superintendent of the Nghe An Provincial Police Detention Center, emphasized: Conditional early release not only acknowledges the efforts of inmates in rehabilitation and training but also demonstrates the humane policy of the Party and State in the execution of criminal sentences. At the same time, it serves as motivation for inmates serving sentences to continue striving for good rehabilitation and to return to their families and communities as soon as possible.
