(Baonghean.vn) - In 2022, despite many subjective and objective factors unfavorable to the production and business activities of enterprises, Nghe An's export turnover continued to maintain its growth rate.

Export turnoverThe projected figure for the first nine months is $2 billion, of which goods exports reached $1.7 billion, an increase of 13.02% compared to the same period last year, achieving 84.19% of the annual plan target.

This result acknowledges the efforts of more than 300 export-oriented businesses in the area to overcome difficulties in maintaining traditional partners, seeking new partners, expanding markets, exploiting export sources, and actively innovating production technology and improving product quality.

Some businesses achieved significant export turnover, such as: Hoa Sen Group Joint Stock Company (US$230 million); Thanh Thanh Dat Company Limited (US$167 million); Luxshare ICT Company Limited (Nghe An) (US$143 million); Merry & Luxshare Vietnam Company Limited (US$120 million); Minh Anh Do Luong Garment Joint Stock Company (US$80 million); Kido Vinh Company Limited (US$52 million);...

Exported goods are quite diverse and abundant, with more than 50 items/item groups. Items with significant growth in export value during the first nine months of the year include: electronic components, textiles, wood chips, stone powder, electrical wires and cables, etc., contributing significantly to the increase in the province's export value.

The export value of electronic components reached US$335.2 million, an increase of 46.8% compared to the same period last year, accounting for 19.9% ​​of the province's total merchandise export value. Seven businesses participated in exporting this product category.

Textiles and garments were the third largest export item with $331.8 million, a 12% increase compared to the same period last year. This sector saw active participation from 33 businesses, exporting goods to more than 20 markets worldwide.

Also one of the province's high-value export items, with $187 million, a 51.1% increase compared to the same period last year, wood chips have made a significant contribution to the province's export turnover increase.

According to Pham Van Hoa, Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Nghe An province, import and export activities are expected to continue to be vibrant and achieve many positive results in the coming period, fulfilling the import and export plan targets for 2022.

This assessment is based on the current situation where Vietnam is negotiating and signing numerous bilateral and multilateral free trade agreements with countries and regions around the world. Within the province, FDI projects related to textiles, electronic components, etc., are being adjusted, expanded in scale, and newly licensed. Local businesses are becoming increasingly mature, responsive, and proactive in their import and export activities. This is coupled with timely attention, guidance, and direction from relevant levels and sectors in creating export goods sources, expanding markets, and improving logistics infrastructure.
