Nghe An: 9 months of goods export reached more than 84% of the yearly plan

Export turnoverEstimated 9-month export turnover reached 2 billion USD, of which, goods export turnover reached 1.7 billion USD, up 13.02% over the same period, reaching 84.19% of the yearly plan target.

That result recognized the efforts of more than 300 enterprises participating in export activities in the area to overcome difficulties in maintaining traditional customers, finding new customers, expanding markets, exploiting export sources, and actively innovating production technology, improving product quality, etc.

Export goods are quite rich and diverse with more than 50 items/groups of items. Items with a fairly high growth in turnover in the first 9 months of the year include: Electronic components, textiles, wood chips, stone powder, electric wires and cables, etc., contributing significantly to the increase in the province's export turnover.

Electronic components turnover reached 335.2 million USD, up 46.8% over the same period last year, accounting for 19.9% ​​of the total export turnover of the province. The item had the participation of 7 enterprises in export.

Textiles and garments are the third largest export item with 331.8 million USD, up 12% over the same period last year. The item has quite active export participation of 33 enterprises, exporting goods to more than 20 markets around the world.

Also one of the province's major export items with 187 million USD, an increase of 51.1% over the same period last year, wood chips contribute significantly to the increase in the province's export turnover.

Director of the Department of Industry and Trade Pham Van Hoa commented: Nghe An's import and export activities in the coming time are expected to continue to be vibrant and achieve many positive results, completing the import and export plan targets for 2022.

The assessment is based on the current situation that Vietnam is negotiating and signing many bilateral and multilateral free trade agreements with countries and regions around the world. In the province, investment projects of FDI enterprises related to textiles, electronic components, etc. are adjusted, expanded in scale and newly licensed. Local enterprises are increasingly mature, more sensitive and proactive in their import-export business activities. Along with that is the attention, orientation and timely direction of relevant levels and sectors in creating export goods sources, expanding markets, improving logistics infrastructure, etc.
