Nghe An discusses 6 criteria for New Rural Development for special communes.
(Baonghean.vn) - Regarding the cultural criteria for communes in mountainous and particularly disadvantaged areas, it was unanimously agreed to reduce the size of the commune's stadium to suit the actual conditions - Mr. Dinh Viet Hong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, concluded at the meeting on the criteria for New Rural Communes on the afternoon of March 3rd.
Attending the meeting were leaders from the Departments of Agriculture and Rural Development, Construction, Transport, Natural Resources and Environment, Culture and Sports, and Information and Communications. Mr. Dinh Viet Hong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, chaired the meeting. |
Based on Decision No. 1980/QD-TTg dated October 17, 2016, of the Prime Minister on the promulgation of the National Criteria Set for New Rural Communes in the period 2016-2020, at the meeting, members of the Provincial Steering Committee for the New Rural Development Program listened to and gave opinions on 6 criteria: transportation, irrigation, cultural facilities, rural commercial infrastructure, information and communication, environment, and food safety.

Discussing the criteria issued by the Provincial People's Committee, the delegates generally agreed with the content of the criteria. However, the delegates noted that some criteria were too general and difficult to apply in practice, such as the criterion that a commune must have a rural market or place for buying, selling, and exchanging goods.
Some concerns have been raised: For high-altitude mountainous communes, areas 2 and 3, and particularly disadvantaged communes in coastal plains, the stadium area must be 1 hectare, and the sports area must be 500 square meters.2 It is difficult to achieve.

Concluding the meeting, Comrade Dinh Viet Hong directed: The contents of each criterion are basically consistent with the document, but regarding the cultural criterion for communes in mountainous and particularly difficult areas, it was agreed to reduce the area of the commune's stadium to suit the actual conditions.
Regarding the criteria that are under consideration, the decisions of the Central Ministries and Departments will be applied. The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Provincial New Rural Development Coordination Office to finalize the draft and send it to the members of the Provincial and District New Rural Development Steering Committees for their opinions.
