Nghe An ensures sufficient transportation for people during Tet holiday.
With the Lunar New Year holiday expected to see a significant increase in travel demand, authorities and transportation businesses in Nghe An province have implemented plans to best serve the public.

A representative from Nghe An Bus Station Joint Stock Company stated that inter-provincial passenger transport businesses have prepared vehicles and personnel one month in advance to meet the travel needs of people during the peak Tet holiday period. The demand for passenger travel through bus stations during the Lunar New Year holiday is expected to increase significantly compared to normal days.
Specifically, the unit has prepared approximately 550 vehicles from over 60 passenger transport companies in Nghe An province and other provinces. In addition, if the number of passengers increases, additional reserve vehicles from transport companies can be mobilized to meet customer demand. It is expected that in the 16 days after Tet, Nghe An Bus Station Joint Stock Company will transport over 90,700 passengers. Passengers mainly travel within the province and to provinces such as Hai Phong, Hanoi, Da Nang, Hue, Quang Binh, and Ho Chi Minh City…

At the same time, the unit also intensified inspections and controls of vehicles entering the terminal to pick up passengers; preventing vehicles that do not meet safety and technical standards, or carry more passengers than permitted, from departing. They also strengthened propaganda and implemented measures to prevent and combat smuggling, commercial fraud, and counterfeit goods in transportation activities.
In coordination with local police, strengthen inspection and control efforts to absolutely prevent "rogue" activities, theft, rickshaws, and other vehicles causing chaos, disorder, and price gouging of passengers. Ensure the highest level of safety for people and vehicles, strictly implement traffic safety procedures at bus stations, and prevent chaos and traffic congestion.
At the bus station, in coordination with transportation companies and authorized bus operators, tickets for various routes are sold through multiple methods such as at the counter, by phone, or via the internet to individuals and groups such as agencies, businesses, and schools.

During the Lunar New Year holiday, bus companies also increase their services to meet the high demand for transportation. Mr. Bui Ngoc Hoang, Director of the Dong Bac Trading and Construction Joint Stock Company's branch in Nghe An, said: "Currently, we have more than 120 buses, including 10 reserve buses, all of which are ready and will be operational from the second day of Tet to transport passengers. In addition to the increased number of buses, the company will also increase the number of trips, especially from the fourth and fifth days of Tet. We also improve the quality of our services by responding to inquiries and feedback through our hotline."
To meet the increased travel demand on the Hanoi - Vinh route during the 2025 Lunar New Year holiday, the railway industry will operate more passenger trains.
On the Vinh - Hanoi route, train NA8 will depart from Vinh station on January 31, 2025 and on February 1 and 2, 2025. Train NA12 will depart from Vinh station on February 1, 2025; train NA14 will also depart from Vinh station on February 1 and 2, 2025. In addition, the railway sector has also added trains from Saigon station to Vinh station.
Simultaneously, various Tet holiday train ticket discounts are applied to eligible social and policy beneficiaries. Children aged 6-10 receive a 25% discount on tickets. Children under 6 years old traveling with an adult are free of charge. Each adult is allowed to accompany no more than two free-of-charge children...
Specifically, the Nghe An Department of Transport requires that fare increases not be made arbitrarily. Any units that increase fares must submit a proposal and have it reviewed and approved by the competent authorities of the Department of Transport and the Department of Finance.

The police forces of the province, districts, cities, and towns have also increased their deployment of personnel to patrol and control passenger transport activities, strictly handling violations to ensure smooth and safe traffic flow and prevent congestion.
