(Baonghean.vn) - On June 1st, Tam Hop Border Guard Station (Nghe An Border Guard Command) issued a decision to initiate criminal proceedings against one individual for illegally possessing narcotics across the border.

Earlier, at 3:15 PM on May 31st, in the Pha Lom village area, Tam Hop commune, Tuong Duong district, a task force from the Tam Hop Border Guard Post, while on duty, discovered a suspect exhibiting suspicious behavior.

The subject of Xong Pa Chai

During an administrative check, a package of black plastic suspected to be drugs was found in the suspect's luggage. The suspect was immediately taken to the Tam Hop Border Guard Station for further investigation.

During questioning, Xong Pa Chai, born in 1969 and residing in Nam Can commune, Ky Son district, confessed that the package of black plastic-like substance weighing 80 grams was opium that he had purchased from Laos.

Evidence seized in the case.

Currently, the suspect and the seized evidence (80 grams of opium, 1 sharp knife, 1 motorbike with license plate 37 - K1 03094) have been handed over by Tam Hop Border Guard Station to the relevant authorities for further investigation and processing.
