Nghe An: Arrested a subject transporting opium across the border
(Baonghean.vn) - On June 1, Tam Hop Border Guard Station (Nghe An Border Guard) issued a decision to prosecute a criminal case against a subject for illegally storing drugs across the border.
Previously, at 3:15 p.m. on May 31, in Pha Lom village, Tam Hop commune, Tuong Duong district, the working group of Tam Hop Border Guard Station, while performing their duties, discovered a subject with many suspicious signs.

Conducting an administrative check, it was discovered that the subject was carrying a black plastic package suspected to be drugs in his luggage. The subject was immediately taken to Tam Hop Border Guard Station for further investigation.
Through questioning, suspect Xong Pa Chai, born in 1969, residing in Nam Can commune, Ky Son district, confessed that the black plastic package weighing 80 grams was opium he bought from Laos.

Currently, the subject and the evidence (80 grams of opium, 1 sharp knife, 1 motorbike with license plate: 37 - K1 03094) have been handed over by Tam Hop Border Guard Station to the authorities for further investigation and handling.
