Accordingly, due to a lack of money for spending and gambling, Le Xuan The conceived the idea of ​​ordering forged documents online, such as land use right certificates and vehicle registration certificates, and then pawning them at pawn shops or mortgaging them to acquaintances in order to misappropriate assets.

Acting on his plan, in July 2022, Le Xuan The used the Facebook account "The Binh" to search for and connect with people online with the intention of forging land use right certificates. After agreeing on the price, five days after "ordering," The received the fake land use right certificate. Having obtained the fake certificate, The used it as collateral to an acquaintance, Mr. L.D.B. (born in 1975), residing in Xuan Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district, for 200 million VND.

By August 2022, using the same scheme, after receiving a fake land use right certificate ordered online, The used this document to contact a resident in Son Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district, to mortgage it and borrow 300 million VND, then embezzled the entire amount.

Subsequently, in late August and early September 2022, The contacted two residents in Hoa Thanh commune and Yen Thanh town to rent self-driving cars. After receiving the vehicles, The forged documents and pawned them at pawn shops in Cong Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district, and Dien An commune, Dien Chau district, for a total of 600 million VND.

Notably, despite being only 27 years old, Le Xuan The already has three prior convictions for "Gambling" and "Theft." After committing the fraud by forging documents, The fled the area, cutting off all contact with his family and the victims.

Recognizing this as a case of fraud involving the misappropriation of property using very sophisticated methods, the Yen Thanh District Police reported the matter to the Provincial Police leadership to establish a special task force to combat it.

With strong determination, after fully consolidating documents and evidence, at 5 PM on November 2, 2022, the special task force arrested Le Xuan The for the crime of "Fraudulent appropriation of property".

At the police station, faced with irrefutable evidence, Le Xuan The bowed his head and confessed his guilt.
