Nghe An province seized over 3 tons of fireworks in one month.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of January 18th, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee held a meeting of the Internal Affairs sector for January 2017. Comrade Nguyen Van Thong – Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee – chaired the meeting.

According to the report presented at the Conference, during the month, the sectors within the bloc coordinated and effectively implemented their respective tasks, focusing on summarizing the achievements of 2016 and planning for 2017.

Authorities have launched crackdowns on crime, arresting and prosecuting numerous criminal rings involved in drug trafficking and illegal fireworks, and dealing with many acts related to smuggling, commercial fraud, food safety and hygiene, and violations related to forest product management.

The Market Management Department has intensified efforts to combat the storage and trading of firecrackers, fight against smuggling, and conduct inspections of fertilizer production and trading establishments, etc.

Authorities have detected and apprehended 337 cases involving 387 individuals committing economic and environmental crimes and violations, seizing 87 cubic meters of various types of wood, 1.4 tons of animals and food products violating food safety and hygiene regulations, and numerous smuggled goods worth approximately 1.3 billion VND.

Specifically, strong measures were taken to detect, combat, and handle the illegal storage, transportation, and sale of fireworks, resulting in 120 arrests involving 138 individuals, and the seizure of over 3 tons of explosive precursors and 3 tons of various types of fireworks.

At the conference, leaders from various sectors and units presented solutions to ensure security and order before, during, and after the Lunar New Year of Dinh Dau 2017.

The task in the coming period is for the sectors within the bloc to focus on ensuring security, order, and social safety so that people can celebrate Tet in absolute safety. They will concentrate on coordinating and implementing various measures to ensure political security, social order and safety, and fire prevention before, during, and after Tet; preventing any unexpected or passive situations from occurring.

At the same time, implement measures and gather information to advise Party committees, government authorities, and leaders on effectively resolving newly arising issues at the grassroots level.
