According to Ms. Hai's description, there were two perpetrators: one who committed the snatching, and another who was waiting on a motorbike across the street. After the snatching, they fled on their motorbike. The items stolen from Ms. Hai included a handbag containing approximately 43 million VND (customer money) and an iPhone 5 mobile phone.
Recently, several daytime robberies have occurred in Vinh City. The victims are primarily women, with stolen items such as handbags, mobile phones, and necklaces. The officers, soldiers, and investigators of the Criminal Police Team, upon receiving their assignment, promptly launched an investigation. After a long period of patrolling, surveillance, and gathering information from the public, the task force identified two suspects with suspicious characteristics. They were Nguyen Xuan Phuong, born in 1989, residing in Hamlet 1, Nghia Dong Commune, Tan Ky District, and Cao Duy Tam, born in 1985, residing in Hamlet 13, Dien An Commune, Dien Chau District.
The Special Investigation Team deployed reconnaissance forces to carry out professional measures, accurately tracking every movement of the two suspects. Through this, they determined that both were drug addicts who often lived in motels and rented rooms; to commit robberies, they usually rented motorbikes from rental shops around Vinh University.
It was confirmed that Nguyen Xuan Phuong and Cao Duy Tam were the perpetrators of frequent robberies, including the robbery of Ms. Nguyen Thi Hai. On May 25th, the head of the special task force issued an urgent arrest warrant for the two suspects at a guesthouse in Truong Thi Ward, Vinh City.
