Nghe An: Premature baby girl born weighing 800 grams with amniotic sac intact is extremely rare
(Baonghean.vn) - Doctors from the Obstetrics Department of Nghe An Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital said that the hospital had just successfully delivered a rare breech premature birth in Vietnam.
At 4:00 p.m. on February 10, Ms. Lo Thi Tuyet Sinh (27 years old, in Yen Hoa, Tuong Duong district, Nghe An) was 28 weeks pregnant and was taken to the emergency room at the Obstetrics Department, Nghe An Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital with abdominal pain, 2 cm dilated cervix, breech position, and threatened premature birth.

Following up until 0:00 on February 14, Ms. Sinh had abdominal pain, her uterus was completely dilated and an amniotic sac was born. Doctors tore the amniotic sac and found a baby girl weighing 800 grams.
Doctors at the Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital said: The rate of breech premature births is extremely rare in Vietnam, accounting for only 1/80,000. After giving birth, the mother's health has recovered and she has been discharged from the hospital. The baby is currently in an incubator with NCPAP ventilator and IV fluids at the Neonatal Department of Nghe An Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital for monitoring.

Tuyet Sinh's mother-in-law said: This is Sinh's seventh pregnancy, the previous six times she gave birth prematurely.
