(Baonghean.vn) - To prepare for the Lunar New Year of the Rooster (Dinh Dau), the Provincial People's Committee issued Official Document No. 9497/UBND-KT/2016 directing the stockpiling of essential goods for the 2017 Lunar New Year; in which it assigned 5 large enterprises with retail networks to purchase and stockpile a number of items to stabilize market prices with a value of 57.5 billion VND.

These are the units: Nam Long Trading Company Limited, Huu Nghi Joint Stock Company, Nghe An Agricultural and Food Products Company Limited, Duc Thanh Trading & Services Company Limited, Thanh Sang Food Import-Export Joint Stock Company, Nhat Minh Tam Company Limited, and Hung Tien Company Limited.
Businesses received 100% interest rate support from the provincial budget for bank loans based on loan contracts, promissory notes, import invoices, and the quantity of goods stockpiled and delivered to the businesses for three months, from December 15, 2016 to March 15, 2017.
The Department of Industry and Trade requires businesses to implement the purchase and stockpiling of certain essential goods, ensuring sufficient quantity, quality, and food safety standards, and guaranteeing adequate supply in case of market fluctuations. In addition to wholesale locations, companies must organize at least three price-stabilized sales points to sell the designated stockpiled goods.
The prices of goods subject to price stabilization must be reasonable and relatively stable, absolutely not chasing market trends for profit at the expense of customers. The selling prices of goods subject to price stabilization by businesses must be at least 5%-10% lower than the market price at the same time for products of the same specifications and quality.
The Department of Finance stipulates that businesses are only allowed to increase the selling prices of price-stabilized goods when approved by the competent authority.
