The People's Committee of Nghe An province voted to recognize Nam Dan district as having achieved advanced rural standards and 4 communes as having achieved new rural standards; 18 communes as having achieved advanced new rural standards and 1 commune as having achieved model new rural standards.
On the morning of January 22nd, under the chairmanship of Comrade Nguyen Van De - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial People's Committee held a meeting of the Steering Committee for National Target Programs giai đoạn 2021 - 2025 to discuss and vote on the proposal to consider and recognize Nam Dan district as an advanced new rural district in 2024 and to consider and recognize new rural levels for communes in Yen Thanh, Dien Chau, Tan Ky, Thanh Chuong, Anh Son, Hung Nguyen, Nghi Loc districts and Vinh city.

According to the report on the results of the document verification and field survey regarding the proposal to recognize Nam Dan district as achieving advanced new rural standards in 2024 by the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, by the end of 2024, all 18/18 communes in Nam Dan district will maintain their status as new rural communes, with 15 communes recognized as achieving advanced new rural standards; and 7 communes achieving model rural standards. By the end of 2024, Nam Dan district will have completed all criteria for an advanced new rural district.
To date, Nam Dan district has no outstanding debts for basic infrastructure construction in the implementation of the new rural development program.

The results of the survey on people's satisfaction regarding the recognition of Nam Dan district as meeting the advanced new rural standards in 2024 showed that 99.53% or more of the respondents were satisfied.
The voting results showed that 100% of the votes recognized Nam Dan district as having met the standards of an advanced new rural district.
At the same time, the Provincial Steering Committee for National Target Programs for the period 2021-2025 discussed and voted to propose the recognition of 4 communes as achieving new rural standards in 2024; 18 communes as advanced new rural communes and 1 model new rural commune.

Accordingly, four communes have met the standards for new rural areas: Thanh Ha commune, Thanh Xuan commune (Thanh Chuong district); Tien Ky commune (Tan Ky district) and Binh Son commune (Anh Son district).
Eighteen communes have achieved advanced new rural standards, including: Cam Son (Anh Son); Phong Thinh, Hanh Lam, Thanh My (Thanh Chuong); Nghi Hung, Nghi Phuong, Nghi Cong Bac, Nghi Dong (Nghi Loc); Phuc Thanh, Van Thanh, Quang Thanh, Kim Thanh, Tay Thanh (Yen Thanh); Dien Loc (Dien Chau); Tan Phu, Ky Tan (Tan Ky); Hung Dao (Hung Nguyen); Hung Hoa (Vinh City).
The model new rural commune is Xuan Thanh commune (Yen Thanh district).
The voting results showed that 100% of the votes agreed that the aforementioned communes met the standards for new rural areas, advanced new rural areas, and model new rural areas.
Concluding the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Van De, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, requested Nam Dan district to proactively coordinate with relevant departments and agencies to complete the dossier for submission to the Government.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also directed the communes to do a good job of propaganda to continue improving the criteria, especially ensuring security and order in the area. Regularly launch the "green, clean, and beautiful" movement in residential areas. Communes that have achieved the standards of new rural areas, advanced new rural areas, and model new rural areas, with the motto "new rural areas have a starting point, but no end point," should continue to improve the criteria, with the goal of improving the material and spiritual lives of the people. Especially important is ensuring security and order before, during, and after the Lunar New Year.

Thus, to date, Nghe An province has 324 communes meeting the new rural standards, including 121 communes meeting the advanced new rural standards and 17 communes meeting the model new rural standards; 10 district-level units have met the new rural standards, with Nam Dan being the first district in the province to achieve the advanced new rural district standard.
