Nghe An: Voting to recognize 22 more communes as meeting new rural standards
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of December 4, the Organizing Committee of the National Target Program on New Rural Construction in the province evaluated, appraised and voted to recognize 22 more communes meeting new rural standards in 2018.
22 communes in 10 districts were reviewed and voted by the Appraisal Council to be recognized as meeting the NTM standards in 2018, including: Nghi Phong, Nghi Dong (Nghi Loc), Dien Dong (Dien Chau); Khanh Thanh, Ly Thanh, Van Thanh, Tien Thanh, Lang Thanh, Duc Thanh, Dai Thanh (Yen Thanh); Tan Xuan, Ky Tan (Tan Ky), Trung Son, Lam Son, Dong Son, Luu Son (Do Luong); Tho Hop (Quy Hop); Chau Tien (Quy Chau); Nghia Duc (Nghia Dan); Quynh Yen (Quynh Luu), Tuong Son, Duc Son (Anh Son).

According to the summary report of the Office of the National Target Program on New Rural Construction, in 2018, the leadership and direction of the new rural construction of the province in general and 22 communes in particular encountered many difficulties. However, after signing the commitment with the province, the communes had many good and creative ways of doing things, making strong breakthroughs, mobilizing resources to complete the missing criteria; 22/22 communes were assessed to have met 19/19 criteria. According to the report of the People's Committees of the communes, all 22 communes had no basic outstanding debts in the new rural construction.

At the meeting, through voting, members of the Provincial New Rural Area Appraisal Council unanimously recognized the above 22 communes as meeting New Rural Area standards in 2018.
At the meeting, Mr. Dinh Viet Hong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the districts to focus on prioritizing the allocation of resources, issuing mechanisms and policies to help communes gradually improve the quality of the criteria. For the communes, continue to improve and improve the quality of the achieved criteria in a synchronous, sustainable and comprehensive manner with the motto "building a new rural area with a starting point, no stopping point".
Thus, together with these 22 communes, Nghe An now has 203 communes meeting NTM standards./.
