Nghe An changes after 15 years of building new rural areas

After 15 years of implementing the National Target Program on New Rural Development, Nghe An has achieved many important achievements. Rural infrastructure is increasingly spacious, people's lives have improved significantly, and the appearance of the countryside has changed dramatically.

Transportation is one of the areas that has achieved many outstanding achievements. After 15 years of implementing the program, Nghe An has invested in building and upgrading 11,889 km of roads with a total capital of more than 14,646 billion VND, contributing to creating a new look and promoting socio-economic development in the area. xã Diễn Châu — After nearly 15 years of implementing the National Target Program on New Rural Development, as of July 2025, Nghe An province has 324 communes meeting new rural standards, of which 121 communes meet advanced new rural standards and 17 communes meet model new rural standards. According to the Provincial Department of Economic Cooperation and Rural Development, the draft National Criteria for New Rural Development (NTM) for the 2026-2030 period being developed by the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment is expected to have 10 criteria.
