(Baonghean.vn)- Song Quang and Chau Thang Hydropower Plants simultaneously announced flood discharge on September 28, until the impact of heavy rain caused by storm No. 4 ends.

At Song Quang Hydropower Plant:Due to the impact of storm No. 4, in the early morning of September 28, there was moderate rain in the reservoir basin of Song Quang Hydropower Plant. The water flow into the reservoir is on an increasing trend and is expected to exceed the normal water level by 526.0m.

To ensure the safe operation and regulation of water in Song Quang Hydropower Reservoir in accordance with the procedures approved by the Provincial People's Committee and in accordance with hydrological developments at the project, Song Quang Hydropower Joint Stock Company plans to operate and regulate Song Quang Hydropower Reservoir as follows:

Estimated time of regulatory operation: Starting from 11am on September 28.

Expected discharge:From 30 m/s - 150 m/s (including discharge through: gate, spillway and power generation through generators) and can change depending on the amount of water entering the lake.

Discharge end time: Until the end of the flood caused by storm number 4.

*On the same morning, the Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Disaster Prevention received Notice No. 49/TB-PQP dated September 28, 2022 from PRIME Que Phong Joint Stock Company on flood discharge operation of Chau Thang Hydropower Reservoir.

Accordingly, to ensure the safe operation and regulation of water at Chau Thang Hydropower Reservoir in accordance with the approved single-reservoir and inter-reservoir procedures on the Ca River basin, PRIME Que Phong Joint Stock Company plans to operate and regulate Chau Thang Hydropower Reservoir as follows:

Estimated time of regulatory operation: Starting from 12:00 on September 28.

Expected discharge:From 76 m/s - 300 m/s (including discharge through: valve gates and power generation through generators), can be changed depending on water flow to the lake.

Discharge end time: Until the impact of heavy rain caused by storm No. 4 ends.

The Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense informs: People's Committees of Que Phong and Quy Chau districts; Heads of provincial departments, branches and sectors and the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control of Ban Mong Reservoir to inform authorities at all levels, agencies, units, investors who are constructing along the river, on the river, owners of water transport vehicles and all people in the downstream areas of Song Quang and Chau Thang Hydropower Plants to carry out necessary work, and at the same time have appropriate response measures for each situation to limit the damage caused by the closing and opening of spillway gates to ensure the safety of life and property of the people and the State...
