(Baonghean.vn) - Nghe An province has officially banned all sea travel due to the dangerous developments of Typhoon Noru (Typhoon No. 4). Accordingly, all types of ships and transport vehicles are prohibited from going out to sea from 5 PM on September 26, 2022.
On the afternoon of September 26th, Nghe An province issued Official Dispatch No. 21/CD-UBND prohibiting boats and ships from going out to sea during the following period.Typhoon No. 4.
According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, at 10:00 AM on September 26th, the typhoon's center was located at approximately 16.0 degrees North latitude and 118.1 degrees East longitude, in the sea east of the northern and central parts of the South China Sea, about 650 km east of the Hoang Sa (Paracel) Islands. The strongest winds near the center of the typhoon reached level 12, with gusts up to level 14.
Forecasts indicate that by 10:00 AM on September 27th, the typhoon's center will be located at approximately 15.7 degrees North latitude and 113.2 degrees East longitude, directly over the southeastern area of the Hoang Sa (Paracel) Islands. The strongest winds near the center of the typhoon will reach level 13, with gusts up to level 16.

To ensure the safety of fishermen and vessels, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense requests the Chairmen of the People's Committees - Heads of the Steering Committees for Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue of Quynh Luu, Dien Chau, Nghi Loc districts, Cua Lo and Hoang Mai towns; the Commander of the Provincial Border Guard Command; the Head of the Fisheries Sub-Department and heads of relevant units to urgently implement the following:
1. All vessels and transport vehicles are prohibited from going out to sea from 5 PM on September 26, 2022. Vessels currently operating at sea must return to shore and anchor safely before 0 AM on September 27, 2022.
