(Baonghean.vn) - According to information from the North Central Hydrometeorological Station, from yesterday (September 22) to 3:00 p.m. on September 23, Vinh city and neighboring districts in the south of the province had a total measured rainfall of 150 mm.

Forecast tonight (September 23 to the morning of September 25), the North Central region will have moderate to heavy rain, coastal areas will have very heavy rain and thunderstorms, rainfall in the area is common: in the North of Nghe An and Thanh Hoa from 70 to 150 mm, some places over 150 mm; in districts, cities, towns in the South of Nghe An and North of Ha Tinh from 100 to 250 mm, some places over 250 mm.

In Nghe An, tonight and tomorrow, September 24, there will be moderate to heavy rain in some places, very heavy rain and thunderstorms in some coastal areas, with rainfall in mountainous areas ranging from 50-100 mm, in some places over 120 mm; in the midlands and plains from 100-200 mm, in some places such as Vinh city, Nam Dan, Cua Lo town, Nghi Loc, Hung Nguyen, Thanh Chuong over 250 mm. Therefore, people need to pay attention to clearing sewers, treating water, and frequently clogged points.

In the next 72 hours, the North Central region will continue to have moderate to heavy rain, some places will have very heavy rain and thunderstorms, then the rain will gradually decrease. This weather pattern is warned at risk level 1-2 due to natural disasters due to heavy rain, whirlwinds, lightning, and strong gusts of wind.
