Nghe An: Updating knowledge on people-to-people diplomacy for officials and civil servants.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of September 14th, the Department of Foreign Affairs, in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, organized training courses on people-to-people diplomacy for officials and civil servants of agencies and units in the province.

At the training course on international politics and Vietnam's foreign policy for international integration, participants listened to Ms. Nguyen Thuy Hong, Deputy Director of the Foreign Policy Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, deliver lectures on the following topics: the foreign policy of the Vietnamese Party and State; Vietnam's foreign policy with key partners (major countries, neighboring countries, countries in the region, ASEAN and other international and regional organizations); and the topic of international integration.

For trainees attending the professional training course on citizen protection and consular work for foreigners in Nghe An, Mr. Vu Le Ha, a senior specialist from the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, delivered lectures on the following topics: Citizen protection work; Consular work.

The training courses aim to provide officials and civil servants with the necessary knowledge and information to directly and practically serve the implementation of foreign affairs work of people's organizations; to update them on the regional and global situation; and to inform them of the Party and State's foreign policy and people-to-people diplomacy guidelines in the current period.

The trainees also gained knowledge about international economic integration and the tasks facing Vietnamese people's organizations and associations in the integration process, as well as the focus of people-to-people diplomacy in the coming period.

Through this, the capacity of officials and civil servants is strengthened, awareness is raised, and the participation of all levels, sectors, mass organizations, social organizations, and localities is mobilized in effectively implementing people-to-people diplomacy in the new period.

The training courses were held over two days (September 14-15), with the participation of nearly 250 trainees who are officials and civil servants from departments, agencies, districts, cities, and towns in the province.
