Nghe An province cuts over 360 billion VND after final settlement review.
According to the Department of Finance's report, in 2024, the entire province reviewed 1,832 projects. The total estimated value submitted for review was 16,642 billion VND; after review, this was reduced by 364.43 billion VND.
Specifically: The total estimated value submitted for appraisal was 16,642 billion VND. After appraisal, it was reduced by 364.4 billion VND (2.19%). The entire province implemented 1,261 bidding packages; the total value of approved bidding packages was 4,894.2 billion VND; the value reduced through bidding was 63.08 billion VND (1.29%).
The total number of completed projects submitted for appraisal and final settlement approval is 2,424. The total investment cost for completed projects submitted for final settlement is VND 7,388.78 billion; the investment cost decreased by VND 126.96 billion after appraisal (reaching 1.72%).
Meanwhile, as of November 18, 2024, the State Treasury had controlled expenditures totaling VND 43,947 billion. The Treasury also refused payments and requested additional documentation for 97,250 dossiers totaling VND 16,249 billion (of which: investment expenditures amounted to VND 8,926 billion from 9,039 dossiers; recurrent expenditures amounted to VND 7,368 billion from 88,211 dossiers).
Also during the year, violations were discovered and recommendations were made to recover funds totaling 437 million VND related to breaches of quotas, standards, and regulations.
From the beginning of the year, the Provincial People's Committee publicly announced the decision on allocating state budget revenue and expenditure estimates to all administrative units and public service units at the provincial level; the Department of Finance developed and publicly disclosed the process for verifying the final accounts of completed ISO: 9001-2008 projects, which is publicly available on the website: Sotaichinh.nghean.gov.vn.
