At around 8:30 p.m. on December 25, some residents living near Thanh Danh motorbike repair shop located at 37 Nguyen Du Street (Vinh City) suddenly saw smoke and fire billowing out.

Because the owner of the motorbike repair shop had locked the door, many people broke the door to put out the fire and reported to the fire police force. The area where the fire occurred was more than 20 meters from Trung Do gas station.

Upon receiving the news, Fire Police Department No. 1 and No. 4 of Nghe An Provincial Police quickly dispatched two fire trucks and dozens of officers and soldiers to the scene to put out the fire.

At the same time, more than 10 households living in the Electricity housing complex behind the motorbike repair shop quickly evacuated people and moved their belongings outside.

Because the fire was near Highway 1, traffic police and riot police were deployed to ensure traffic safety.

The fire was not completely brought under control until around 9 p.m. Although there were no casualties, dozens of customers’ motorbikes and many properties in the motorbike repair shop were completely damaged.
