Of this, development investment expenditure amounted to VND 3,950 billion, reaching 59.9% of the budget, while recurrent expenditure was VND 5,509 billion, reaching 27.4% of the budget.

According to the report, from the beginning of the year, the Finance Department coordinated with other departments and agencies to advise the Provincial People's Committee on funding for visiting and extending New Year greetings to policy beneficiaries, meritorious individuals, cadres and soldiers of the armed forces, and giving gifts to exemplary elderly people; providing financial support to poor households during the Lunar New Year; allocating 16.5 billion VND to support the price of public utility products and services for irrigation and clearance of key projects; 81.1 billion VND for COVID-19 prevention and control; 92.5 billion VND for African swine fever prevention and control; and 60 billion VND for the construction of the Cua Hoi bridge across the Lam River;...

According to the Nghe An Department of Finance, the estimated budget revenue for the first four months of 2020 basically met the target set by the Provincial People's Council. However, since April 2020, due to the outbreak of Covid-19, the Government's directive to implement nationwide social distancing has affected the production and business activities of enterprises and people, and will certainly affect budget revenue in subsequent quarters.

Budget revenue for the first four months of the year is estimated at 3,113 billion VND, reaching 28.6% of the projected target and equaling 94.8% of the same period in 2019; revenue from land use fees reached 1,534 billion VND.
