Comrade Hoang Viet Duong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - delivered a speech highly appreciating the content and significance of organizing the workshop; and at the same time emphasized the urgency of protecting forests in general and planting mangrove forests in particular.

Nghe An province has 82 km of coastline, and under the impact of climate change, it is frequently affected by natural disasters, storms, and floods. Therefore, authorities and localities must not only implement additional mangrove planting but also manage and protect the planted mangrove areas sustainably, while also developing proactive solutions for exploiting the resources from mangrove forests.
