According to the Department of Industry and Trade, the main reason for the strong increase in the production and distribution of electricity, gas, hot water, steam, and air conditioning is primarily due to the higher water inflow into reservoirs in the early months of the year compared to the same period last year. In addition, the demand for commercial electricity has increased sharply. Electricity production is estimated at 597 million kWh, an increase of 15.47%; commercial electricity output is estimated at 1,034 million kWh, an increase of 25.64%.

In addition, the water supply, wastewater management and treatment, and waste management sectors increased by 13.12% compared to the same period last year. Specifically, drinking water production reached 10.1 million m3, an increase of 10.97%; and waste collection, treatment, disposal, and recycling activities reached an estimated 63.01 thousand tons, an increase of 15.95%.

The mining industry grew by 8.71%. Tin ore production is estimated at 130 tons, a 41.30% increase compared to the same period last year; processed construction stone is estimated at 399.5 thousand m3, a 12.68% increase; and construction stone is estimated at 952.3 thousand m3, a 7.20% increase.

The processing and manufacturing industry increased by 6.43% compared to the same period last year.
