(Baonghean.vn) - In accordance with the Law on Vocational Education, in 2017, six vocational colleges and secondary schools in Nghe An will be transferred from the Department of Education and Training to the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs for management. This was also the main content of the meeting chaired by Mr. Le Minh Thong - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee on the afternoon of March 8th.

These are the schools: Viet Anh Vocational School, Central Region General Vocational School, Central Region Medical Vocational School, Viet Uc Vocational School, Hong Lam Technical and Vocational School, and the College of Culture and Arts.

According to regulations, the Department of Education and Training transferred the state management functions of 6 colleges and vocational schools in the province (excluding teacher training programs) in their current state. This includes 296 permanent staff members, including administrators, teachers, and employees, along with all existing data, documents, records, assets, and facilities of the schools.

From 2017 onwards, enrollment was conducted in accordance with the Law on Education and Vocational Training and the guidelines of the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs.

Students admitted from 2016 onwards will study the current curriculum until the end of their course. After graduation, if they wish, they can continue their studies according to current regulations.

At the meeting, Mr. Le Minh Thong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, stated that the transfer of vocational colleges and secondary schools in Nghe An province has been implemented in accordance with state regulations. However, some concerns remain regarding human resources, infrastructure, and related mechanisms. Therefore, during the implementation process, the education, labor, and internal affairs sectors, as well as the schools, need to carefully discuss solutions to ensure the early stabilization of state management of vocational education. Simultaneously, this should not affect the organization and operation of the vocational education institutions subject to transfer, ensuring the rights of students.
