Nghe An has 137 OCOP products about to expire
Currently, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development has issued Official Dispatch No. 4897/SNN-PTNT to units and entities to focus on completing documents to be evaluated and re-classified for OCOP stars in the coming time.
The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development - Standing Agency of the One Commune One Product (OCOP) Program, according to its assigned functions and tasks, announced that by January 27, 2025, the province will have 137 OCOP products of 87 entities recognized by the Provincial People's Committee in Decision No. 279/QD-UBND dated January 27, 2022 whose recognition period will expire.

The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development requests relevant authorities to strengthen inspection, supervision, and handling of OCOP product producers using labels, logos, certificates, and OCOP products according to current regulations.
Propose the People's Committees of districts, cities and towns: No later than December 27, 2024, notify the entities with OCOP products recognized in Decision No. 279/QD-UBND dated January 27, 2022 of the
Provincial People's Committee expires from January 27, 2025.
Localities focus on propagating, supporting, and advising entities whose products are about to expire to urgently complete their dossiers and organize re-classification and classification assessments according to points a, b, c, d, clause 7, Appendix II, Decision No. 148/QD-TTg dated February 24, 2023 of the Prime Minister on promulgating the set of criteria and procedures for evaluating and classifying products of the One Commune One Product Program.

In case, by the end of the recognition period (36 months), if the subject does not have a document and file requesting re-evaluation and recognition of the product, it is understood that there is no need. After the above period, if the subject continues to have a file requesting evaluation and recognition of OCOP products, it will follow the first evaluation process.
Report on the results of OCOP product evaluation and classification, including: Re-evaluation and new evaluation of products in 2024 and profiles of products with 4-star potential, sent to the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development through the Department of Cooperative Economics and Rural Development for timely synthesis and organization of provincial-level evaluation.
It is known that among the 137 products whose recognition is about to expire, there are 13 4-star OCOP products and 124 3-star OCOP products.
