Nghe An province has 6 artifacts recognized as National Treasures.
According to Decision No. 236/QD-TTg dated February 3, 2026, on the recognition of national treasures (14th batch) by the Prime Minister, Nghe An province is honored to have 6 artifacts and groups of artifacts recognized as national treasures.
Notably, the Nghe An – Soviet Nghe Tinh Museum is where 5 out of the 6 national treasures associated with Nghe An are preserved and promoted. These are 5 bronze drums, part of the Lang Vac bronze drum collection of the Dong Son culture, dating from the 3rd to the 1st centuries BC, discovered in Thai Hoa ward.

The continued recognition of the Lang Vac bronze drum collection as a National Treasure once again affirms its exceptional historical, cultural, and scientific value, as well as the position of Nghe An in the Dong Son cultural space.
Another valuable artifact related to Nghe An is the "Ma Nhai Ky Cong Bi Ky" stele, carved into a cliff face in Con Cuong commune. Dating back to 1335 during the Tran dynasty, this artifact holds special historical value regarding military history and the defense of the western border region of Dai Viet in the 14th century.

Each recognized national treasure is a rare historical artifact reflecting the profound cultural traditions of nation-building and national defense of the Vietnamese people. For Nghe An, this is not only a source of pride in its heritage but also a vivid testament to the role of this land of outstanding people and rich history in the development of Vietnamese culture.
Ms. Le Thu Hien, Director of the Nghe An - Soviet Nghe Tinh Museum, stated: The recognition of these artifacts as National Treasures is both a great honor and places a responsibility on all levels of government, sectors, and cultural institutions in the work of preserving, researching, and promoting the value of heritage associated with traditional education and sustainable cultural tourism development in the current period.
