What is the population of Nghe An in the country?

As of April 1, 2019, Nghe An province had a population of 3,327,791 people, of which 1,672,901 were male and 1,654,890 were female, ranking 4th in the country in terms of population (respectively behind Ho Chi Minh City with 8,993,082 people, Hanoi with 8,053,663 and Thanh Hoa with 3,640,128 people). Compared to the survey 10 years ago (2009), Nghe An's population increased by 415,930 people, equivalent to an average population growth rate of 1.33%.

Also according to the results of the Population and Housing Census, in 2019 Nghe An had 848,977 households, an average of 3.8 people/household; population density was 202 people/km², increase 25 people/km²compared to 2009. Notably, out of 848,997 households, Nghe An has 96.7% of households with permanent houses with an average area of ​​22.4 m²/person; 3.2% of households have unstable and simple houses; 0.1% of households do not have houses.

According to the results of the General Census, as of April 1, 2019, the country's population was 96,208,988 people, the proportion of women accounted for 50.2% with 48,327,923 people, men accounted for 49.8% with 47,881,061 people; the whole country had 26,870,079 households, compared to the time of the survey in 2009, the whole country increased by 10.4 million people, the average growth rate was 1.14%/year, a slight decrease compared to the average of the period 1999 - 2009. Thus, Vietnam is the country with the 3rd largest population in Southeast Asia and the 15th in the world, with an average rate of 290 people/km².
