(Baonghean.vn) - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province, Nguyen Van De, has just signed a decision recognizing an additional 4 communes as meeting the standards of new rural areas and 6 communes as meeting the standards of advanced new rural areas.

The Provincial People's Committee has just issued Decision No. 616/QD-UBND recognizing 4 communes as meeting the standards of new rural areas and Decision No. 617/QD-UBND recognizing 6 communes as meeting the standards of advanced new rural areas.

Four communes have just reached their targets.new rural areasThis includes Thanh Duc, Thanh Thinh, Thanh Khe, and Thanh Tung communes in Thanh Chuong district.

Six communes have achieved advanced new rural standards, including: Hung Thong commune (Hung Nguyen district); Hung Nam and Xuan Hoa communes (Nam Dan district); Thanh Tien commune (Thanh Chuong district); Quynh Lien commune (Hoang Mai town); and Nghi Phu commune (Vinh city).

According to the decisions, the Provincial People's Committee will reward each commune that meets the new rural standards with a public welfare project worth 500 million VND, and each commune that meets the advanced new rural standards with a public welfare project worth 600 million VND.

Thus, after nearly 13 years of implementing the National Target Program for building new rural areas, Nghe An province now has 317 communes that meet the new rural area standards, 67 communes that meet the advanced new rural area standards, and 10 communes that meet the model new rural area standards.
