Nghe An now has another Methadone treatment facility.

((Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of January 14th, the Nghe An Border Guard Command, in coordination with the Ky Son District People's Committee, held a ceremony to launch a methadone-based opioid addiction treatment facility at the combined military-civilian medical clinic of Sub-district 50.

The Methadone Treatment Facility at the Military-Civilian Medical Clinic No. 50 was established by Decision No. 2908 dated November 18, 2015, of the Nghe An Department of Health, comprising 12 medical staff. Since then, during its trial operation period, the facility has treated 27 drug addicts, including 18 from Ky Son district and 9 from Tuong Duong district.

Advise patients on participating in treatment.

This is the ninth Methadone treatment facility established in the province. Its operation will contribute to improving the effectiveness of drug rehabilitation in particular and drug prevention in general in the mountainous districts along National Highway 7.
