Of these, English was the subject with the highest number of rejected applications, with over 200 (164 for primary school English teachers and 57 for secondary school English teachers). Following closely behind were subjects like secondary school math teachers (35 applications), secondary school literature teachers (20 applications), preschool teachers (23 applications), and primary school computer science teachers (14 applications)...
In summary, the majority of applications that did not qualify for the second round were due to unsuitable qualifications. Some candidates only had a bachelor's degree while the number of applicants for teacher training programs was already sufficient, the position was either vacant or had reached its recruitment limit, and the university graduates were of average or above-average grade. For English teacher applications, the majority were rejected due to the lack of an English proficiency certificate according to the Vietnamese 6-level framework.
From the list of over 3,200 eligible applications, there are quite a few from teachers and long-term contract employees of the district. In addition, there are many applicants from ethnic minorities, and children of war invalids and disabled veterans.

This is the first recruitment drive for preschool, primary, and secondary school teachers organized by the Nghe An Department of Education and Training for the 2025-2026 school year. The recruitment aims to ensure a sufficient number of teachers and educational staff, with the correct structure, to meet the requirements for improving the quality of education in the province.
Regarding this examination, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee has repeatedly affirmed at meetings that the recruitment process must be absolutely objective and free from any interference.
At the same time, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also requested the Department of Education and Training and the Department of Internal Affairs to establish a recruitment council and organize a clear, open, and transparent examination to select the right quality personnel for the sector. If any complaints or grievances arise, the province will set up an inspection team and the investigative agency will investigate.
Responding at a provincial press conference earlier this month, the head of the Department of Education and Training also stated that Nghe An province had invited and hired specialized units from outside the province to participate in setting and grading the civil servant recruitment exam. This is the first time the locality has applied this method to teacher recruitment.
