Nghe An province announces the enrollment dates for 10th grade in its schools.
(Baonghean.vn) - After the results of the 10th grade entrance exam were released, the Department of Education and Training is implementing the enrollment process at different times. This year, the enrollment plan has also undergone some changes.
Yesterday, Huynh Thuc Khang High School announced its enrollment plan for students.10th gradeFor the 2023-2024 academic year, the school will conduct the first round of admissions for classes from July 5th to July 18th. Admission scores will be updated on the school's website, Facebook page, and other media channels depending on the admission method.

Specifically, students in the English class under the Foreign Language Project will enroll on July 5th and 6th; advanced classes, based on foreign language certificates, will enroll on July 10th; advanced classes, based on entrance exam scores for grade 10, will enroll on July 11th, 2023; and traditional classes, based on entrance exam scores for grade 10, will enroll on July 17th and 18th.
In addition to the first enrollment period, Huynh Thuc Khang High School plans to hold a second enrollment period at 2 PM on July 18, 2023.
The remaining two high schools in Vinh City, Ha Huy Tap High School and Le Viet Thuat High School, are also scheduled to begin their first enrollment period on July 7th, following the order of classes for direct admission based on English certificates, advanced classes for direct admission based on English certificates, advanced classes based on 10th-grade entrance exam scores, and traditional classes.

Previously, on June 23rd, the Department of Education and Training issued Document No. 1455 regarding the review and approval of admissions for 10th grade high school students in the 2023-2024 school year. This is the second year that Nghe An has implemented online admissions, but it is the first year that the registration and admission process has been completed entirely online.
According to regulations, the admissions process is conducted online through the system, and the system must be opened and closed according to schedule. Schools that conduct the admissions process first must promptly announce the list of admitted students and request parents and students to confirm their enrollment, then finalize the list on the system so that schools conducting subsequent admissions can proceed with the selection process.
Another difference in the admissions process at schools (concentrated in Vinh City) is that the selection process for advanced classes will be carried out before the selection process for traditional classes.

According to the department's guidelines, after the list of students admitted to the advanced class based on international English proficiency certificates has been approved, the school will notify students to confirm their enrollment. If a student has confirmed their enrollment, they are not allowed to participate in the selection process based on exam scores for both their first choice and the advanced class based on exam scores. Students admitted to the advanced class based on exam scores who have confirmed their enrollment are not allowed to participate in the selection process based on exam scores for their first, second, and third choices. After being admitted to the advanced class, students must withdraw their application to enroll and their names will be removed from the list of admitted students at the school they were admitted to for their first/second/third choice.
For private schools: For students who have graduated from junior high school but did not participate in the entrance exam for 10th grade high school, if they wish to be considered for admission based on their academic and behavioral performance at the junior high school level (admission based on academic transcripts) but have not yet registered on the online admissions system, the school will organize the direct collection of applications. After receiving the applications, the school will compile a list and enter the data into the system to carry out the selection process.
Following guidance from the Department, many parents are concerned about students in advanced classes enrolling before those in traditional classes, potentially losing their chance if they later achieve the same score and are accepted into both programs. Regarding this issue, many schools stated that most applicants for 10th grade also apply to advanced classes, and the school will call for enrollment according to the allocated quota.
However, students have the right not to enroll in the first round. After the traditional enrollment process is complete, if there are still vacancies, the school will continue to call for enrollment in advanced classes.
