Nghe An province recognizes 20 more communes as meeting the standards for new rural areas and advanced new rural areas.
(Baonghean.vn) - The Nghe An Provincial Council for New Rural Development Assessment has voted to recognize an additional 4 communes as meeting the new rural development standards and 16 communes as meeting the advanced new rural development standards.
On the afternoon of March 6th, the People's Committee of Nghe An province held a meeting of the Provincial Council for the Assessment and Recognition of New Rural Communes to discuss and vote on the recognition of communes that meet the standards of new rural communes, advanced new rural communes, and model new rural communes in 2022. Mr. Nguyen Van De, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, chaired the meeting.

At the meeting, the members of the Provincial New Rural Development Assessment Council unanimously voted that 4 out of 4 communes met the new rural development standards and 16 out of 16 communes met the advanced new rural development standards, with 21 out of 21 votes in favor, achieving a 100% approval rate.

Accordingly, the four communes that met the new rural standards in 2022 include: Nghia Yen, Nghia Lam, Nghia Mai (Nghia Dan district); and Hung Yen Nam (Hung Nguyen district).
The 16 communes that achieved advanced new rural standards in 2022 include: Nghi Duc, Nghi Kim, Hung Loc, Hung Dong (Vinh City); Long Xa, Hung Phuc (Hung Nguyen); Nghia Binh (Nghia Dan); Tho Thanh, Tien Thanh, Hong Thanh, Nhan Thanh, Dong Thanh, Bac Thanh, Xuan Thanh (Yen Thanh); Nghi Van, Nghi Trung (Nghi Loc).

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van De acknowledged the efforts of localities in implementing the National Target Program for building new rural areas. The Vice Chairman requested that localities recognized as meeting the standards coordinate with the New Rural Area Coordination Office and relevant departments and agencies to complete the required documents. For the districts, he urged them to continue directing communes to complete their dossiers and constantly improve the criteria, aiming to become model new rural communes.
Thus far, Nghe An province has 306 communes that have met the standards for new rural areas and 43 communes that have met the standards for advanced new rural areas.
