According to forecasts from the Dispatching Department of Nghe An Power Company, during the April 30th and May 1st holidays this year, the peak power demand for the entire province is expected to reach 970 - 990 MW, and the daily electricity consumption is expected to be at 19.2 - 19.5 million kWh.

Following the directive of the Northern Power Corporation on strengthening electricity supply during major holidays in 2026, Nghe An Power Company (Nghe An Power Company) has proactively developed plans and implemented comprehensive solutions to ensure safe operation of the power system and stable, continuous electricity supply to serve political, cultural, social activities and the daily needs of the people throughout the province during the April 30th - May 1st holiday in 2026.
From the beginning of 2026, Nghe An Power Company has focused on implementing various solutions to invest in, build, renovate, and upgrade the power grid to improve electricity supply capacity, meet the increasing load demand, reduce power losses, and effectively serve the socio-economic development tasks in the province.

According to the plan, the Northern Power Corporation and Nghe An Power Company have implemented the construction of 46 power projects throughout the province. This includes the construction of over 150 km of new medium-voltage lines, the construction of 264 transformer substations with a total capacity of 66,872 kVA, along with 460 km of 0.4 kV low-voltage lines; and the renovation and upgrading of 668 km of low-voltage lines…
The synchronized investment in power infrastructure has contributed to improving the quality of the power grid, ensuring safe and stable electricity supply, enhancing the reliability of power system operation, creating a foundation for local economic development, and better meeting the electricity needs of customers.

Besides investment and construction work, Nghe An Power Company also directed its subordinate units to strengthen power grid inspections, proactively detect and promptly handle defects, and promote clearing of power line safety corridors to minimize the risk of incidents.

In addition, the company closely coordinates with local authorities and functional forces to implement security and safety measures, and prevent fires and explosions at power facilities, contributing to ensuring the continuous and stable operation of the power system.

At key locations where major political and cultural events take place, units have deployed backup generators and prepared sufficient supplies, equipment, and personnel to promptly handle any unforeseen situations.
Strengthen on-call duty and improve customer service quality.
The enhanced on-call system was strictly implemented throughout the company. Unit leaders, power operation and maintenance personnel organized 24/7 on-call duty throughout the holiday period; communication systems, transportation, and backup fuel were always kept ready to ensure the fastest possible response to any potential incidents.
