Nghe An leads the North Central Region emulation cluster.

(Baonghean.vn) - Based on the overall scoring and ranking of emulation achievements in 2016, Nghe An province achieved nearly 990 points, ranking first in the North Central Region Emulation Cluster. This result was announced at the Conference summarizing emulation and reward work in 2016 and implementing tasks for 2017 of the North Central Region Emulation Cluster, held on the morning of March 10th.

In 2016, the provinces of North Central Vietnam proactively launched and implemented emulation movements regularly, continuously, and with a focus on key areas, in the spirit of "The more difficult the situation, the more we must compete."

The patriotic emulation movements have awakened a spirit of self-awareness, self-improvement, and patriotism, creating momentum to promote socio-economic development and national defense and security in the six provinces of North Central Vietnam.

According to the overall results of the 2016 emulation ranking of the North Central Emulation Cluster, Nghe An province achieved nearly 990 points, ranking first and was recommended to receive the Excellent Emulation Flag from the Prime Minister; Thanh Hoa ranked second with 985 points, and was recommended to receive a Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister.

At the conference, leaders from six provinces in the North Central region focused on discussing several issues related to the content of the Politburo's Directive 34 of 2014 on reforming and promoting the patriotic emulation movement, identifying, nurturing, and summarizing advanced models; the Prime Minister's Directive 18 of 2016 on launching emulation to successfully implement socio-economic development tasks; the Law on Emulation and Commendation, Government decrees, and guiding documents on the implementation of emulation work in the current period.

To effectively implement the emulation movements in 2017, the North Central Region Emulation Cluster agreed on several key solutions, namely: strengthening the Party's leadership and the State's management of emulation work; enhancing the responsibility of emulation and reward councils at all levels, clusters, and groups; promptly identifying and rewarding outstanding examples; focusing on consolidating and improving the quality of scientific and innovation councils at all levels; improving the quality of awards, such as awarding fewer but more effective results; promoting the application of information technology in professional work; and paying attention to inspection and supervision at the grassroots level, issuing programs, actions, and plans for regular inspections to promptly correct shortcomings and weaknesses in emulation and reward work.

Delivering a directive speech at the conference, Comrade Lam Phuong Thanh - Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department - requested that the North Central provinces should: Strengthen the dissemination of the Party and State's policies on emulation and commendation to all levels, sectors, and the entire population; Promote emulation movements, focusing on key tasks and priorities; Strengthen guidance and inspection to ensure that emulation movements are on the right track and achieve their goals; Identify, develop, and replicate advanced models in various fields...

The North Central Region emulation cluster has elected Quang Tri province as the cluster leader for 2017.
