Nghe An province has allocated over 23,476 hectares of land for industrial development.

In Nghe An province, there are also plans to develop 50 industrial clusters with a total area of ​​1,043.7 hectares.

To date, 39 industrial clusters have completed the initial stages of investment and construction (preparation and approval of detailed industrial cluster plans; preparation and approval of industrial cluster infrastructure investment projects; implementation of industrial cluster infrastructure investment; and organization of attracting investment in production and business). Of these, 10 industrial clusters are fully occupied, 7 are currently investing in infrastructure and have businesses operating, 3 have businesses operating but have not yet invested in infrastructure construction, and 19 are either leveling the ground or have prepared infrastructure investment projects and approved detailed plans.

Currently, there are 231 investment projects in industrial clusters, with a total investment capital of 2,128 billion VND (an average of 9.5 billion VND per enterprise). The production value of enterprises in these clusters reached approximately 3,480 billion VND, accounting for about 9% of the total industrial production value of the province. Tax revenue from enterprises in these clusters reached approximately 200 billion VND (early 2017) and created jobs for nearly 16,400 people.
