Nghe An wins first prize at the National Teachers' Singing Festival.

(Baonghean.vn) - The 4th National Teachers' Singing Festival, Central and Central Highlands region, has just concluded in Da Nang City. At this festival, the Nghe An delegation excellently won first prize overall.

Mr. Tran Van Ky, Chairman of the Nghe An Education Union, said: The 2016 National Teachers' Singing Festival saw the participation of 19 delegations from the Departments of Education and Training and universities and colleges in the Central and Central Highlands regions. With 5 performances, the Nghe An delegation excelled, earning the highest score and winning first prize overall.

Individually, the Nghe An delegation won 2 Gold Medals, 1 Silver Medal, and 1 Bronze Medal. Two highly-rated performances were the group singing and dancing performance "Tra Hat" on the Khơ Mú folk melody, performed by a group of teachers, and the duet "Dat Nuoc Tron Niem Vui" by teacher Tien Cuong (Dang Thai Mai Secondary School) and teacher Minh Ngoc (Vinh Tan Secondary School).

The National Teachers' Singing Festival is a traditional activity of the Education sector, held every five years, aiming to build a cultural and artistic movement in educational institutions, contributing to improving the spiritual life of cadres, teachers, and workers. It is also an opportunity to strengthen interaction, learning, exchange experiences, and understanding among units throughout the sector.
